We're a small team building the companion app the official festival apps never have. We ran our pilot as a web app and are going native on iOS and Android.
Full-Stack Developer · Remote
What you'll do
Own features end to end, from database and API through to shipped mobile builds. Take gum from web app to production-grade native apps, with presence detection (BLE and location) as the core mechanic. Ship, monitor and iterate quickly with a small team.
Must have
- Apps shipped and maintained live on both the App Store and Google Play, where you ran the review, signing and release cycle yourself
- Strong full-stack experience with modern TypeScript and a real backend — our stack is Next.js and Supabase/Postgres
- Hands-on BLE work including beacons, scanning, and the quirks of background operation
- Practical geolocation experience: GPS accuracy limits, geofencing, permissions and battery-aware tracking
- Comfort with React Native, Swift or Kotlin, and the realities of iOS and Android background execution
Nice to have
- iBeacon or Eddystone deployment at real venues
- Battery-conscious radio duty-cycling
- Real-time features, push notifications and offline-first sync
- Error monitoring and observability
- You go to festivals and get why this matters
